LOTRO Farming for Beginers

Basically, you find a field. There are crop fields, pipeweed fields and vegetable fields. Fields are located south of Michel Delving, in Staddle and in Hobbiton.

You purchase seeds, water and fertilizer. I suggest purchasing a stack of each, as they're inexpensive and you use 5 seeds per field.

First, you Plant the field. In the crafting panel, select the crop you're going to grow and select the Field. If you're on the right type of field and have your farming tools equipped, click on MAKE.

Then you harvest the field by right-clicking on the field. When you harvest you'll get a combination of Fair bushels and Poor bushels.

Repeat the Plant Field/Harvest until you're out of seeds. If you purchased a stack of seeds, you should plant & harvest ten fields.

Now, find a workbench (there's always one near the fields) to separate the bushels.
Poor bushels will yield more seeds and Fair bushels will yield the crop.
In the crafting panel, select the Seed and make as many as you can from the bushels you have.
Repeat this for the crop.

I suggest farming vegetables, simply because they are the most likely to sell on the auction house, as cooks use them.
When you're able, make Shire Sweet-Leaf Pipeweed, as Lore-Masters use it for their rez skill.
